NO POP™ is a specially formulated additive. When paint is applied, particularly by spraying, the solvents that carry the resin and the pigments “flash off” – evaporate. This product is used to slow that process particularly in hot and humid weather. This allows the paint to flow evenly and prevents a condition known as “solvent pop”—the formation of small air bubbles on the surface of the paint. It also prevents a condition known as “dry spray”—solvent evaporating before the paint hits the surface of the substrate.
