A very good alternative for lubrication in applications where there are open flames and restrict the use of flammable aerosols, and solvent-based liquids. Graphite is a very good lubricant under a wide range of temperatures. Once the carrier burns off it carbonizes and bonds the graphite particles to the heated surface creating a very effective dry film of very fine particle graphite.
